Organic Acres Milk is produced on a 50 cow, family-operated dairy located in Rupert, Idaho. We have been USDA Certified Organic since Oct. 2008, but organic practices were used for many years prior to that. Our milk is processed in a nearby organic bottling plant, minimizing the time it takes to get from our farm to your family.
The cows at our dairy get the majority of their feed from pasture during the growing season. When they are not on pasture, the cows are housed in open lots and fed hay grown by Organic Acres. All animals on our farm are treated with kindness and respect, including being housed in stalls bedded with straw during bad weather. Unlike factory dairies, our cows stay in the herd for many years because of access to outdoors, exercise, and gentle handling.
Don is a 4th generation farmer and farms less than 1 mile from where his great-grandfather farmed. We take pride in our milk, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
